The Body by Stephen King
4.0
➸ 4 stars
This is quite literally the first King book that I have enjoyed so BRAVO to ME!
But this book was truly about the ride of passage and friendship. Twelve year olds who look at life like they are in their twenties with so much humor passed between them all.
– Chris and Gordie's friendship/connection with each other was very heartfelt because it was just so pure. Yeah they got on each other from time to time I mean what friends don’t but they still were there for each other in the long run.
“It seemed right to do it this way, because the rite of passage is a magic corridor and so we always provide an aisle – it’s what you walk down when you get married, what they carry you down when you get buried Our corridor was those twins rails, and we walked between them, just hopping along toward whatever this was supposed to mean.”

“They come outta you just like bubbles out of soda-pop” “What does?” “The stories. That really bugs me, man. It’s like you could tell a million stories and still only get the ones on top. You’ll be a great writer someday, Gordie.”
