I have read every book in this series. Some were good. Some were not (books 2, 14 & 15). Most were great. And this I am happy to say falls into the great category. I shed some tears. I got really worried about people dying. I was here for so much of this book. 

The backstory of Gamache and Jean-Guy coming together was fabulous, as was the connection from Gamache to Amelia. 

Well written, as always, but also a page turning plot that was well hashed out. Thank you Louise Penny for the yearly comfort.
