Brutal Intentions by Lilith Vincent

4.25

This is a taboo book first a foremost, but it really didn’t feel like it. Laz is Mia’s stepfather, but it never felt weird or gross like some others that I’ve read.
Laz is a really great asshole, but when he sees how Mia’s family treats her his protective instincts come out. Mia was a really good character, and the perfect other half for Laz.

I was a little sad when his book ended. The spice was *chef kiss*. The detail just made your toes curl and you loved the characters. I do wish that we could get a book with the oldest sister and her husband. It’s hinted in the book that the older sister is having marriage problems with her husband and I’m nosey so I wanna read all about it lol. I’m also a sucker for interwoven characters throughout out a series, which I don’t believe is the case for the next book. I don’t think there is overlapping characters but I haven’t read the second on yet to be quite sure.

There isn’t much I would change in this! It felt like a quick read but it is 284 page book(now depending of your reading speed this might not be a quick read and that’s okay!) I would 100% recommend this book and series and I will probably read them again. Again, this is a taboo romance series and the author has tws in book or on website.
