The most successful players are the ones that get out of the game, but the 10-year exit plan for the Pierce brothers (Adrian, Drake, Dru, Drennen) hits snags when love and life events come into play. Each of the brothers has a storyline with their women (Tee, Carmen, Laila, Nori, Madison, Brylee) but Drake’s love triangle is the main attraction. This book is toxic AF, but I couldn’t stop reading it. Pros: Drake is giving ‘D Rock’ from Devout by Takerra Allen vibes. Nice balance between street business and romance. The “act right” sex scene @ 60% (Chapter 8) had me on mute. Cons: It’s emotionally draining and chapters long AF. Multiple typos. Some predictable plot points because the women loved to forget their proximity to the streets.
Graphic: Infidelity, Sexual content, Torture, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Grief, and Murder
Moderate: Child death, Death, Gun violence, Stalking, Pregnancy, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Animal death, Confinement, Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Car accident, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury
