I liked it, I really liked the ending, but it wasn't my favorite. Skyward has never been my favorite of Brandon Sanderson's and this was even less so. Not that it was a bad read, it was enjoyable after the first 15% (I found the beginning dreadfully boring).

I really enjoyed the slugs. They really made the book a hundred times over. Following FM as a character was kind of fun, but even though she was the main pov in this, she still somehow felt like a side character. I know some people didn't appreciate how YA the romance was, but I actually enjoyed the romance quite a bit. And I really loved the ending.

Overall, this is a must read as part of the skyward series, but it didn't blow me away.
