I *so* wanted to love this, but it just didn't land for me. I typically LOVE weird books, but I felt like this book had so much going on that I would've enjoyed it more had it leaned into a ~traditional~ style of story telling. I did enjoy the style of writing, but I just found myself confused a majority of the time reading it. It is one of those books where you're meant to be in the dark and then eventually the author comes in and turns the light on for you, but I think it took too long to get to that point and I didn't find myself feeling like the journey was worth it. I did appreciate all the topics that were brought up throughout the book, because it does cover a lot of important things, but I wasn't a fan of the execution.
