Love You Forever by Robert Munsch

5.0

This book is one of the sweetest i've ever read. It touches my heart and makes me just smile so big. It is so cute and loving. This could be for any age, but for a classroom i'd say k-1st.

This is great for a read aloud because it has a little song/rhyme in it that is said multiple times by the mother to her son but then at the end the son sings it to his old mother. It has a little bit more challenging language but still would be good for a new reader to look at and see what words they recognize. The color and illustrations are great, they are on one side of the page and the words are on the other. the colors are vibrant and bright and the illustrations are very detailed.

Discussions for this book would be what they liked about it, what words weren't familiar, how it makes the boy feel and the mother when they sing the song. It is also good for understanding a story plot, like it goes quickly through the age of when the boy was a baby and then he is now taking care of his mother.
