Stardust by Neil Gaiman
3.0
Content Warnings: Death
Stardust is the story of Tristran Thorn, who had promised the girl of his dreams that he will bring her the fallen star they saw together. To do this, he must journey away from their save town of Wall and into the mysterious land of Faerie. Will Tristran find the star?
Many people seem to love Gaiman's style but I am not one. The sentences were long and rambling, with often one sentence being one paragraph. The limited dialogue was short and clipped. It seemed like the focus was more on world building and imagery. There is nothing wrong with that but I do enjoy good plot and character development.
I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. It's a 3 star for me that's definitely closer to a 2 star for me.
