Viola Davis’s autobiography is both heartbreaking and inspiring. She came from a long line of poverty, addiction, abuse and struggle. Her childhood was stark and searing but it set the foundation for who she has become. I love her acting and am so happy to see her dreams manifest into reality. Especially appreciate her humble, always-learning outlook in life. Her relationship with Julius sounds like perfection. She sounds relatively content in life and that makes this whole story inspiring. I have seen her speak before and she has told bits and pieces of this story…her delivery is what you would expect of a Emmy, Oscar and two-time Tony winner: masterful.
