The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones
4.0
4.5 stars.
It’s a bit daunting reviewing this book. I know this is on a lot of people’s highly anticipated releases for 2024.
For me, this book was a delight. I love that we returned to Jade’s perspective instead of bouncing around in everyone’s head like Don’t Fear The Reaper.
We also return to Jade’s slasher roots. Movie after movie is referenced by the slasher queen, and it made me happy to be able to pick up on the references—especially movies I watched recently.
I really loved how everything came full circle in this book. Everything tied together so well. This book was full of heartbreaking scenes and had me emotional at times. I feel like I know Jade, and I’ve loved watching her grow and mature with each book.
So if you’re looking for an epic conclusion that holds no monsters back, check out The Angel Of Indian Lake. It’s action packed and sure to keep you glued to the pages.
