I’ve had this book on my TBR for quite some years, and I was excited to finally read it.
It started out as engaging in its ideas and concepts for a future time where women are given the tools to physically overpower men with their bodies, like of like superpowers in a way.
It could’ve been a great dystopia, but in my opinion, the characters were not interesting enough for me, and I didn’t love the repeated content in it (see trigger warnings) and the way it presented women. Maybe it was all a bit lost on me.
After finishing it, I am left with some musings on what the world would be like if the patriarchy was flipped on its head, but the feminism is just a bit basic for me I’m afraid.
Read if you are a fan of dystopian feminism, but I don’t heartily recommend.
