Queer Ducks (and Other Animals): The Natural World of Animal Sexuality by Eliot Schrefer
funny
informative
fast-paced
5.0
Oh, what an important book this is! Eliot Schrefer gives reasons for writing it at the beginning, and the majority of it is because the LGBTQ+ community is seen as "unnatural." But there are so many instances of queerness in the natural world, and a lot of them are in this book! Not only were the animal facts fascinating, but there was also a lot of information about scientific research and how it's also biased. I found it all fascinating.
I listened to the audiobook, but I know the physical book has some great illustrations and such, too! Schrefer adds humor throughout, and just makes it an entertaining book to read. If you like nonfiction, I highly recommend it!
