An Amish Second Christmas by Shelley Shepard Gray, Patricia Johns, Virginia Wise
5.0
This set of short stories is incredibly sweet and unique to the Amish genre. The first one features an Amish girl who defies her family by living among Englishers. After a devasting fire, she runs into an old flame.
The second one features an Amish woman who runs an advice column called Ask Miss Amish. Trouble occurs when her ex decides to tell the local bishop of it.
The third one features a disabled yet independent woman who runs her own greenhouse. She ends up working along side of her polar opposite, Joseph. I'm pretty surprised that there's a story featuring a disabled person. It's very hard to find stories of this kind, let alone a romance one at that.
Fun fact: Joseph talks about his ancestors, which are the same characters in Virginia Wise's other book, When Love Finds You. I love that the author put that in here.
I loved these stories. They're very sweet and heartfelt, and the short size of each one makes it perfect for reading during the busy holiday season.
Side note: This book was given to me by the sweet Virginia Wise in exchange for an honest review.
