Return to summer was a light, flirty romance which made me smile and I had an enjoyable evening devouring this book.

That being said, I wasn't a fan of Summer and (though people are going to berate me about this) I found her very flimsy and her emotions all over the place. Yes, it is possible for their emotions to be manic and chaotic, but the buildup to having breakdowns or crying needs to be there and a lot of the emotional scenes felt very coincidental and forced, almost coming out of the blue. The romantic scenes were, for the most part, enjoyable though they did feel a little flat in parts. The ending was nice and I appreciated the epilogue greatly. A fantastic way to end the story.

The plot was guessable from the first few chapters but I stuck around to see how it played out. I did love Grayson's character (though his big reveal was a big letdown) but could forgive him for that since he was far more enjoyable to follow than summer.

All in all, not a bad book. I did enjoy reading it and it provided me with a day's enjoyment. It was short, quick, easy to read, and a nice book for a short stop in the romance genre.
