From reading her knockemount series, this book follows a predictable path with a few new surprises. The girl moves back to her hometown to recover from a divorce and raise her two children close to family. The guy is the mayor of the town, a contented bachelor and is not looking for a relationship.

Things are complicated since he is her landlord and the whole town has an opinion on why they should be a couple. They do resist each other, then try to keep it low key until she decides to take a break since it could affect her children.
