The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
So this is NOT the final book in the series. I thought it was! I'm not sure if I'm mad ( I generally try not to start a series until it is complete so I can read the books back to back without waiting in-between) ... or if I'm a little bit happy, because I'd like to experience Wax, Steris, Wayne and Maresi more.
While this is the same world (albeit years in the future) as the original Mistborn trilogy, this set is much lighter, filled with humor. I was listening to the audio edition (excellent narrator) and I'd find myself smiling, and even laughing out loud at points. I have to say I really learned to like Steris in this 3rd book!
While not a cliffhanger ending, this wrapped up THIS storyline (as each of these three books has had their own individual problem to deal with) it was definitely left open. Even before the author came one to tell how the fourth and final book would be coming, I had thought "Well it can't just end like THAT!" ... so now anxiously awaiting the final book, and I hope I don't forget too much!
