So when his last email comes it terrifies her, pushes her to reach out and demand he meet her, where it all began for him. She may think think has prepared for every conceivable outcome, but she will be sorely mistaken. Anger is a strong emotion and Thomas uses it perfectly as a tool for revenge, punishment.
