This was a slow narrative at times, but I'm glad that I continued listening. I think the current political climate made this an even more important story. I think women are fed up with being treated as "less than" and having our rights stripped away by men who have no business dictating those rights.

This is a beautiful story of three sisters and their bond, their courage, and their willingness to do what's right to restore equality to the world, especially for women. The plot device uses witchcraft, but it's really symbolic for so much more; the power that women have lost (or maybe never had).

It beautifully weaves the ties of universal sisterhood with our dreams and ambitions, the fierceness of motherhood, and the desire to leave our children a better world.

The magic is beautifully incorporated through the use of fairy tales, old wives tales, recipes, and snippets of songs. The spells feel very real and this really contributes to the grounding of the story. I loved it a lot.
