Brilliant little novella, wonderfully weird, queer, hilarious, entertaining and smart, I loved it! It is a follow-up to "The Empress of Salt and Fortune", but you can read it without knowing what happened in the first little novella.

The meta-layers of storytelling in this one are once more stunning. You are riding a mammoth somewhere, minding your own business, when you are attacked by three tigers and you can only save your life with a really good story?
