This is my second CH book and I once again find myself reading a book that was overhyped. I enjoy Colleen’s writing and the pacing though… read this one in a single day.

That being said, I was torn between 2 and 3 stars here because the book started out strong, but the middle was hard to get through. I was so frustrated that Ryle turned out that way. I hadn’t read much about the book before reading so thought it was going to be a nice romantic story about a girl torn between past and present love. I genuinely had no idea it was going so intense (I suppose that’s on me)! I found myself getting so mad with each new scenario.

I was surprisingly happy with the choices Lily made in the end. I think that was what was best.

I’m curious to see how this will translate to screen.
