I finally got myself a copy of the new edition and I'm not sure if and which ones are new but I loved it as much as the first time <3

First read December 2016. I got this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Princess Saves Herself in his One is a poetry collection divided into parts: the story of a princess turned damsel turned queen.
And wow. This is like biting open the kind of lollipop that has a piece of gum in the middle. The hard outside layer shatters and hurts, but the middle, the ending, the core; it's terrific.

The topics in this collection range from believing in yourself, love and love gone wrong to domestic abuse - Heavy topics told in a simple way; I cried several times throughout this book.
I've never been much of a poetry lover, since I have a very specific taste: most of the texts I see in lit class I don't even like. If more poetry could be like this, however, I would read it all the time.
Collections like these make poetry 'easy' and accessible for the normal, average reader.
