I wanted to read this book as I've read any of Sarah J. Maas’s work and I was interested to see what all the hype was about. I was kindly gifted this series and Throne of Glass by my parent. So I thought I would start at the beginning. I enjoyed the first and second book of this series and was waiting for the hype to hit me. It hit me with this book, holy mother of god.

This book picks up exactly where it left on from A Court of Mist and Fury. Feyre has returned to the Spring Court with Tamlin and Lucien. But she is a double agent determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to bring her land to its knees. However, playing a game of deceit can be deadly. One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre, but for everything and everyone she holds dear. As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavours to take her place amongst the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers – both magical and political and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must decide whom to trust amongst the cunning and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

Okay, this book – THIS BOOK. I didn’t want it to end. I love the characters; I loved the storyline and the action. I would let Feyre, Amren, Mor, Elain and Nesta hit me, and I would say thank you. The biggest issue with this book is I don’t know which Bat Boy I love the most.  I love how the war was depicted and that it wasn’t romanticize and that there was action, but it was just fully action. I love Feyre standing up for her family and the court and wanting to kick everyone’s ass. I loved the ending and I wanted to see them live happily ever after and not just the last two or three chapters. The only thing that would have made this book 10000 percent better would be if Tamlin died a slow and painful death. He shouldn’t get a redemption arc and I've never hated a character more than Tamlin.
