Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler
I got a lot out of Tendler's accounting of her time in a psychiatric facility undergoing voluntary diagnosis for her conditions that manifest as cutting and eating disorder, to name the most obvious. I think this is an honest depiction of the limitations of psychiatry and the power of the feminine. I felt for her and appreciated how she acknowledged she was existing within a privilege system.
