Murder Under a Red Moon by Harini Nagendra

4.0

The setting for the second in this mystery series is Bangalore in 1921. Kavari is looked upon as a the First Lady detective after she solved a murder, and is called upon again to solve the murder of a mill owner. The main suspects are the man’s wife and daughter, and daughter’s fiancée, but something doesn’t sit right with Kavari. The secondary characters of the book, making up the Bangalore Detectives Club, are made up of women Kavari brings together to teach reading and writing. I really enjoyed the book, and recommend to mystery lovers, including those who like a bit of history thrown in. Thanks to Edelweiss for the ARC.
