Philippa Gregory usually has the main character of her historical fiction novels be a real person out of history. In this book; however, the story is told by Hannah Green, a fictional Jewish girl. She is able to see the events and backroom dealings of the reigns of the young King Edward, Lady Jane, and Queen Mary. Even though this plot is slightly impossible you can enjoy it if you remember the fiction in historical fiction.
