This Could Hurt by Jillian Medoff
4.0
Rounding up, because I mostly loved this, it just went on too long and spread itself a little thin with all the points of view. But she writes some great characters, and I especially loved Rob’s scenes at home. I had a hard time with Lucy’s chapters, because I was invested in her story, but for some reason her chapters were littered with footnotes. I’m sure that was supposed to convey something about her erratic nature or something but I hate footnotes in fiction. HATE. It was kind of funny that she says in the acknowledgments that the footnotes were her favorite part. We’re not seeing eye to eye there but this is still worth picking up.
