First book by the author & the narrator was new to me as well. Personally, I won’t be reading this again & it has nothing to do with the book premise or how it was written. I just found myself ambivalent towards the main characters Soren & Dany & found myself more interested in Cody the hotel owner even if he’s hetero 😂
As for the narrator Michael Dean, I’ve only read 1 other book he narrated & I’m still on the fence.
