This novella was very stereotypical romantic comedy in my opinion. You have the two coworkers who can't stand each other, but because of separate issues end up needing each other. It turns out that they really learn how much they have in common and like one another along the way. It follows the typical patterns and at the end we have the huge blow up which causes some issue for the two of them. The worst thing in this story is the poor sick dog... and that part seemed incredibly cruel. It's one of those rom com's that you read just for like a distraction or to meet a reading goal... not because you are invested in the characters or the story.
