I love these characters and this world so so much. 
I do think this was my least favourite in the series so far, simply because it goes back in time to the first day that Joey and Aofie meet. The first 100 or so pages felt a little boring to me and it threw me off a little bit reading about them being 12 years old. I felt as though some of the conversations were a little bit unrealistic for their age. 
From 3rd year onwards, I started to really love and connect to Joey and Aofie. I have to say Aoife is probably one of my favourite female main characters so far. I did love getting to know Joey more too, even though his story was so tragic and emotional. 
I didn’t think I’d connect much to the drug addict storyline but I ended up really caring and rooting for him throughout the book. 
I’m looking forward to the next book to carry on with the usual timeline!
