Solid 4 star read friends! 📚

It's beautifully written, whimsical and witty. It is also slow.... but the banter between the characters, the depictions of the magical creatures and places in an academic way, and spectrum rep won me over.
▪︎ witty rival banter
▪︎ found family
▪︎ light academia with fantasy
▪︎ PET DOG thing
▪︎ the academic writing and depiction of the magical creatures, places and circumstances adds a level of magical realism
▪︎ romantic sub-plot [slow burn]
▪︎ funny, charming
Read via audible, recommend the listening experience 👌🏽
