I have a very old version of this book, and my cover looks much different, but it's the same author…so I assume I'm reviewing the right book. I had this little Golden Book as a child, and now I am reading it to my own daughter. For a time it is one of her favorite books, and so far it is my favorite children's book based on Noah's ark (of the dozens or so I've seen). The vocabulary is not dumbed down; nor is the story "sanitized"; yet it captures her attention. The drawings are not as cartoonish as what one usually finds in versions of this story.
