I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It's a little difficult to write this review, especially since I had high hopes for this book. But here it goes; I'll try to keep it to the point.
If you are new to the Young Adult paranormal romance genre, then maybe, MAYBE this could be a good book for you. But for someone who grew up on books in that genre, Control had very little to offer. The plot was full of the same old cliches, which in and of itself would not have been an issue if only they were executed the right way.
Overall, I thought the characters were too one-dimensional, the insta-love was ridiculous, and the plot, while promising, was poorly developed and structured. I can see readers of books like Evermore and Fallen enjoying it, but that's just the thing… I was never a fan of those books either and I just could not tolerate this one either.
