Collected Poems, 1909-1962 by T.S. Eliot

5.0

I wanted to add a quote that I had taken down (one of the many) here, but I couldn't pick just one that would sum up this collection in its entirety. I am feeling so many things at once over this collection- which I just sat and read cover to cover because it was too good to put down.

T.S. Eliot was an amazing and unique poet who I think everyone should experience in their lifetime. In this collection there were so many themes throughout that it would take all day to talk about them all. Some of my favorite pieces were ones that spoke of the sea, used flowers as either metaphors or setting details, the nature in this book was both comforting and inspiring. Every season was pondered on, the changes and feelings that they bring about. The world, history, self, music, the future, and more were all thought of.

For this collection to be so diverse and still so enjoyable is something special.
