The absolute audacity of Brandon Sanderson to write this book as a stand-alone but tease us with the possibility of a sequel and 13 years later WE STILL HAVE NO SEQUEL!!!
This book was probably one of the easiest adult high fantasy novels I have ever read. The writing was so good, everything came at the right time, the magic system and the world building were well explained. The characters felt unique and had great arcs.
And honestly even though not a lot really happens until the last 200-150 pages I did not mind one bit. It was a joy to read everything slowly come together and just get wowed in typical Brandi Sandi fashion.
