His Dark Materials has now become one of my favourite series ever. With its commentary of authoritarian power, questioning of the church’s influence, what ‘innocence’ (if there is such a thing) really means, and let’s not forget the awesome parallel worlds, I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. I will definitely will be rereading it next year, because I feel that it would have something new for you ever time you go back.
