The Rivals by Vi Keeland
5.0
i absolutely loved this .. one of the best standalones i've read in a while. the enemies to lovers trope was delivered so beautifully and both characters were so developed. there was just enough discord between them to be realistic, and never did i feel like i was being served straight cliches. neither main character was one dimensional, but instead both had so much more to them than i originally thought. weston was more than just a playboy with drinking problems and sophia was more than a scorned woman with daddy issues; vi keeland gave them both so much depth and it was absolutely immaculate. additionally, i feel like this is the first book i've read in a long time where the happy ending didn't annoy me but made my heart so full. i have to reiterate that i love love LOVED this book and will definitely be reading more from vi keeland in the future
