I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
5.0
I am speechless. I have to get all my shallow out first and say I will never watch Sam and Cat again (never liked it anyway) and the things that child stars have to go through really has never sat well with me but now it really doesn't at ALL.
Moving on though, I loved the way this was written. Almost like she knew super long chapters were not it, and that if the people reading her books were anything like her that the shorter chapters feel so much better and they were. I loved the voice and the way it matured throughout the book as she got older, how raw and untamed she was as she wrote this, and how she showcased recovery is never a straight line. I needed this so bad and I didn't even know it.
