My Last Date by Casey Morales

ARC Review
I know I have written in my previous reviews about this series how much I liked the style of [a:Casey Morales|21757018|Casey Morales|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1649509297p2/21757018.jpg], his way of writing and the fact that he seemed to speak directly to the readers, in a way that made you think he was sharing his secrets directly. with them. Well, this last instance of the series confirms it.
Although [b:My Last Date|60786276|My Last Date|Casey Morales|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1649609909l/60786276._SY75_.jpg|95851705] turns out to be deeper than the previous ones, and Michael shares extremely painful and difficult situations in his life, the story does not lose its essence.
It was hard, really hard, for me to finish reading it. I had to take a loooong pause until I could get over the anger I felt (and still feel) towards Ryan. I still can't understand his way of acting, although after thinking about it and knowing how he acted in his marriage (and yes, I understand that these were difficult times for a queer person, where you needed to hide and act within the parameters that society demanded of you , that does not justify the deception), I realize that it really does not surprise me. And it hurts how his actions hurt Michael, and the consequences of them.
Luckily though, and after several years of following his journey, Heath came into his life, and I'm glad Michael finally let him in.
I am sorry that the story of his journey ends here, because it is difficult to say goodbye to something that was so well written that it made you feel his emotions, laugh and cry with him, and I hope that the author will send us more original stories to enjoy his talent.
I received and advance copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
