Southern Storms by Brittainy C. Cherry

3.0

From the way the book started, I was expecting a heartwrenching deep dive into a healing journey and the accompanying trauma. I expected lots of emotion and passion, and it just didn't quite deliver that. I also felt that there was an excessive amount of varying pop culture references and I believe it would have been stronger if the book just stuck with one main theme (ie - Gilmore Girls). However, I did catch the feels for these characters and the book and felt like my heart was swelling more than a few times. I will be back for more.

(I kinda hated these narrators...)
