Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

4.5

it's honestly insane the way every single one of these characters are mirrored in modern day. this novel, though its ending happy, is depressing and dark in many ways. it doesn't feel satisfying because, like life, the story is not straightforward and everything isnt so perfectly tied up with a bow. but it is a magnificent character study on both the worst and best of people & society. miss jane remains relatable 250 years later. what a genius.
