I have always worried more about the plight of the predator than its prey. Predators spend their lives starving slowly. Every hunt could be their last. So if it was just me here, I would let the wolves feast.

This book broke me. The characters and their dialogue really breathed life into this world. Even though I wish the ending was a bit different, I thought it was extremely beautiful.
