Five stars. This was exactly what I needed when I needed it. Especially after just finishing the TDM that was my last book. (looking at you). It’s not too heavy. It’s not too light. It has great main characters who I fully bought the love of, even though it was rather fast, I Loved that they had a rather healthy relationship. Neither prevaricated. The guy wasn’t afraid of love. It was just really enjoyable and I really like Karen Cass as an narrator.

Recommend if you like historical romance, I need an escape room that won’t trigger anything.
