I'm not the biggest slow burn lover but there were definitely moments where I was DYING but in a good way. I did not read the first book in this standalone series but other than a few moments with another side character, it isn't really necessary to read the book one first.
Lizzie had a lot of inner growth throughout the story, which was so great to read.
Saber's POV were from him growing up and watching what he went through and how it affected him and the things he had to do in order to grow to reach where he is in present time.
The story itself was great, the plot was on point. I felt so many different emotions reading this story.
If extra slow burns are your favorite, this book is for you. If you want your characters to be together by the halfway mark, this may not be for you.
