Poor Clariel. I feel like we finally see Mogget as the treacherous/shifty creature they were always talking about. It feels like nothing actually happened until about 50% through the book and then all of a sudden everything happened to her and it seemed like she was just along for the ride. I was unsure at times when exactly this story was supposed to take place (I think something like 500 years before and before the original breaking of the family) but it was hard to tell.
