I don’t even know how to start on what to say about this book. It is hauntingly beautiful. It is a story of a husband and wife l, both with mysterious tragedy in their pasts, who come together like a fairy tale or in a fairy tale. But the true fairy tale like those of Grimm. Can the past stay in the past? What are the consequences of breaking a curse? Can you truly live happily ever after? Is the price of freedom just that high? The imagery and poetry used, transport you to a place where your not sure if you have entered another world or are simply looking at the real world through stained glass. Like walking through a sweet scented fog to swim through a sea of golden honey, I was never sure quite where everyone was standing. It’s not that the story is so twisty that I can’t see it coming, I did, just that it’s told so poetically, you feel like you are watching a dream play out. Stunning.
