I wasn't expecting this book to capture my attention like it did. The nostalgia within this story was addictive and I couldn't wait to read more. This is the summer I dreamed of when I was younger but never got to experience it. This book felt like an escape but it was so human at its core. Percy had a lot of learning and growing to do and I was surprised by how well it was all wrapped up. My only complaint is that Charlie as a character felt like he needed to be taken down a notch. He was too obnoxious and I was surprised that Percy was so easy to forgive him in the end.
