The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston

5.0

YALL. THIS BOOK???? FIVEEEEE STARRRRRSSS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ !!!!

Im in shambles. This was so beautiful I have NO WORDS. I cried when i got to the end, and it was just such a brilliant book. I feel like an amazing book to me moves me in some way. It changes how i see a topic or how i think about something, and makes me feel vulnerable and thoughtful afterwards. That was this book. The characters, the plot, the way this book read so eloquently...I'm at a loss of words.

The way this book has changed my mind about death and grief, and although Florence was fictional, I feel like i learned so much just as she was throughout the book. The struggles of finding yourself and knowing that asking for help is not a bad thing. That although bad things happen, there can be a silver-lining where hope and happiness can be found. That when people leave, bits and pieces of them stick around.

UGHHHHHH <3

The Dead Romantics is about Florence and Benji, two people who meet in the most uncommon way possible. Two people whose lives have been intertwined and wrapped together full of loss and longing...and WOW MY CHEST. Am i even still breathing? IDK.

If you are new to my reviews, just know I never buy a book without reading it, (all my books are ebooks or come from the library) and I WILL be adding this to my physical shelf IMMEDIATELY. I have never read an Ashley Poston book, and now all of a sudden I need to read them all. Expeditiously.

I may come back and add more to this, as I legit JUST finished the book and wiped the tears from my eyes, whipped out my WORK computer to write this, and I'm still trying to get my feelings together. Yall. omg....
