Hour of the Olympics by Mary Pope Osborne
.I recently completed Hour of the Olympics (Magic Tree House, #16) and was pleasantly surprised by the depth and thought-provoking themes within the book.
The way the author handled the issue of ancient sexism was both tactful and eye-opening. As a children's book, it is important to address such topics in a delicate manner, and the author did an excellent job of showcasing this to young readers. It not only raises awareness but also teaches important lessons of equality and respect.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to both children and adults. It's a great addition to the Magic Tree House series and a fantastic tool for starting meaningful conversations about important social issues. Well done to the author for creating such a powerful and educational piece of literature.
