I have only way of describing this book: a bombshell. I truly stellar book that has deeply moved me and brought to light so much that is disregarded in American history.
My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is for me personally felt like there were too many perspectives. I think I would have been happy with 7 kids telling the tale instead of 14, I noticed I had to keep flipping back to the chart at the beginning that described who they were and how they were related to other characters.
