Glass Witchling: 1980s LGBTQ+ Urban Fantasy by Harlowe Frost, Harlowe Frost
5.0
Glass Witchling is the first book in the Child of Three Halves Saga. It is an LGBTQ+ Urban Fantasy taking place in the 1980’s.
Right from the start of the book we are thrown in with Casy Strega and Ginger, discovering Casey's new job. Casey met Ginger in college, and needing money to pay for her tuition, she let Ginger convince her to apply to a good paying job, but she is in for more than she bargained for.
Casey is a witch and she has had to hide this her entire life, from her friends and even her parents. The only person she was able to share her gifts with is her grandpa. Her new work brings some challenges with it, and Casey finds herself in a bit of a pickle. Together with Ginger and Jen, Casey has to learn how to balance her school life, her being a witch and her new job.
The book has a nice pacing and I literally devoured it. It kept me wanting more, wanting to learn all about the secrets and the twists and turns. Glass Witchling is LGBTQ inclusive, has witches and vampires, colorful and over the top 80's wardrobes and matching music. And there are several extremely steamy and spicy scenes which made me blush more than once! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
Thanks to the author Harlowe Frost for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC.
